Alan Glover

Alan Glover is without doubt one of Australia's tallest comedians. Recently referred to as an elder statesman of Aussie comedy, he's been standing up since 1983 and shows no sign of tiring. Alan's varied act includes sound effects, silly voices, funny physicality and clever one-liners.

Alan performed his first one-man show, 'Jolly.Green.Defiant' for the 1998 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Not content with that he took it to the Sydney Comedy Festival, the Newcastle Fringe Festival, and the Wollombi Folk Festival. That showed 'em.

Alan spent the last four years as founding President of Valley Artists Inc., a theatre company in the Hunter Valley of eastern Australia. He's written and co-written several shows for the company including 'Funny Business,' 'Come To Bits' and 'Radio Wollombi,' and has acted in various plays including David Williamson's 'The Removalists.'
